The world No.6 Thai arrived home yesterday from Paris where she lost to top-ranked Tai Tzu-ying of Taiwan in the French Open quarter-finals. A week earlier, she beat the same opponent 2-1 in the semi-finals at the Denmark Open on her way to winning the title. Ratchanok said she was confident that she would secure a berth for the season-ending Dubai World Superseries Finals in December. Meanwhile, Tai bounced back from her shock loss to Ratchanok at the Denmark Open by capturing the French Open title on Sunday. It was Kidambi's fourth Superseries title of the season and second in a row after his triumph at the Denmark Open.
